I am still in shock with the news of you passing Denise. The memories keep flooding my mind of our childhood even though you were my sisters best friend you both still included me in sleep overs, Greenwell Point swimming pool, and the Sunday drives your father insisted we go on. I cant stop thinking about our striped dresses my mother mad for us three, or the first time we went to the club together and you got a bit sick because we mixed so many drinks together lol. I remember when you first started working at the fruit shop in the mall so many memories in the 45 years we knew each other. As happens in life our lives drifted apart when you settled down and were blessed with Amanda and Travis. It was a true life long friendship though probably like sisters because it never mattered how much time had passed it was like no time had passed and the friendship continued to flow naturally.
I am in lockdown at the moment otherwise I would have been there in person to provide condolences to Amanda and Travis. Myself my sister, mother, and father are all truly devastated with your tragic passing Denise you will forever remain in our hearts and memories.

I will remember Denise for always smiling even when she didn't feel like doing so. She had such a big heart, always helping others. Denise felt so much love and joy for her family. She often expressed to me how lucky and grateful she was to be able to spend so much time with Travis, Amanda and the grandchildren. You were and always will be remembered as a beautiful lady and friend. Sending my deepest condolences and so sorry I can't be at the service.
RIP Denise xo

Denise was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother. I feel privileged to have known her over many years. Many ex teachers and staff like myself at Terara Public School will remember her attentiveness and care towards her children when they attended school there. Denise being a local girl attended Terara PS herself. She and her family were well-known and liked locals. She also was my Avon lady for many years, and watched for the Avon specials for me knowing what I always used. Over the years I saw her many times down the street with her mother Gwen after her father died, they were extremely close, and she was very caring and concerned for her mother and she looked after her until her mother passed. When we met we talked about her children and herself, what she and they were doing now. We also talked about how she was fixing up the family home and her designs for the garden. She was always optimistic and happy, just getting on being and doing the best she could, and she was so very proud of the children and more recently the grandchildren. She loved dearly and was so dearly loved. She will be so sadly missed, many hearts are broken. Rest In Peace beautiful Denise. XX

Denise was such a beautiful person who didn't deserve to have her life reaped away from her the way she did. My heart breaks for her and her children Amanda, Travis partners and grandchildren .I met Denise as a customer of hers with Avon. She was so dedicated to this job . Not only was I her customer I became a friend. Since Avon finished and I left town I lost contact, but the hurt and disbelief knowing that smiley gentle loving soul no longer walks this earth, literally breaks my heart and sickens me of the pain she endured. RIP beautiful.
