Firstly, my profound condolences to Helen,Tina, Neil, Rose and all the Glanville clan for the loss of Steve sooner than needed. Met this legend in 1986 and we became fast friends and best mates, many hours driving around Sydney for the hell of just cruising around or driving down to Sussex to see the family for a weekend, an incredible sense of humour, we could literally laugh at a pin dropping on the ground, hours, days just talking and laughing about everything, since I came back from Europe and moved to Qld we didn’t get to catch up in person more than a handful of times but had plenty of phone calls, my best mate, my brother in many ways, you taught me more than you will have ever known, how to hang sideways anywhere, any surface and look cool doing it, you helped me grow up and have courage to do more than I thought I could, I will miss you every day mate, but will always find a reason to laugh at things we said and did, love you bud, thank you for being you and being a true friend for more than half of my life, and yes, Dattos are still the coolest car ever, dare say you are building one in heaven as I write this, forever in my heart brother.
Jon Wimhurst.

A memory from the days before the twins.Rally driving with Uncle Steve in his Datsun & his cousin Rob in his Datsun & coming along Wents Rd, then cousin Rob says ''what''s that black thing ahead?? suddenly Uncle Steve says ''that's'' Sussex Rd'' as we jumped the road & landed in the bush on the other side. This is the type of story he was always sure to share.
