Whilst I hadn't seen Brock since he was a very active and happy little boy, this news was very sad. Thinking of you all in this terrible time.

I loved at their wedding, posing with the uni girls- Billy was so happy and comfortable with us all, even if we'd only met him a handful of times. Gosh, it was so amazing to see how much he was in love with his wife, and later how in love he was with his little girl.

I don’t remember the first time I met Billy because he has been around for so long! Goes to show that he fit straight in to our family. Loved a drink and wasn’t shy to dish back the banter. We have lost a family member but he will never be forgotten. Hannah will now grow up without you by her side but she is surrounded by wonderful people and an amazingly strong mother. Hannah will now have someone always watching over her. I hope she develops a personality with some of your traits to remind us of you because we will miss you so much. We will miss your cheeky laugh, your sarcasm and sass, the day drinking at AP bns and seeing your face at family gatherings (even if that means it was glued to Carissa’s face haha). We love you and miss you so much already Bill. Keep the beers cold up there mate, I guess you just couldn’t wait to have one. RIP you beautiful soul.
Love from Megan and Jack xx

My darling boy. I will never forgot you. You are the shinning light in my life. You are 1 of my 3 wonderful sons and know that for the rest of my life you will remain in my conversations about my gorgous boys. Until we meet again I will never understand why you needed to rush off so soon. I guess given all the love from Cariisa and Hannah plus your amazing friends wherever you needed to rush off to must be incredible.! God speed my beautiful boy and i will forever cherish all of our memories together.
God blessed me by you being my son and in gods care i give you back to him.

Billy and Carissa have one of the greatest love stories to which I was extremely lucky to have been there from the beginning. Ariah park BNS, a cheeky kiss with a boy named Billy and too many blurred memories. Two months later, a night out at the Vic, a cute boy named Brock asked her out on a date. It was a very stressful time waiting for that date, thinking she had kissed the twin brother of the brother she was about to go out with.
Brock William “Billy” Hazlett
Same person, thank god for that!
The chances of these two finding each other is mind blowing! I Thankyou, Billy for loving my best friend so purely and so deeply. From the shoe box unit to Mason street to both of the party houses in Nowra, I have memories which I’ll treasure! These include a sleeping bag, third wheeling, sliding doors, beer pong, card/drinking games and an epic tattoo to which Hannah can ask me about. Thankyou for Hannah to which we all adore and I promise you that I will make sure she knows true love like her parents, has true mate ship and loyalty like her father and isn’t afraid of a little PDA!!! Fly high mate and guide us, as we’re all little lost at the moment! Love Jords, Tristrum and Kurtley x

Our memories of Billy
Blake:
Billy was a quiet, chilled, care free guy.
I treasured my brothership with him and was grateful he loved a beer at family gatherings. Lots of occasions we would have too many beers and Billy would attempt to teach me card tricks. I’ll miss Billy’s sayings such as “treat yourself” and “sure” and of course his pose in the family photos with his hands in his pockets and one leg in front of the other showing his care free vibe. Naomi and I are sorry we never got to party at a BNS with you mate but when we do go, we will have a drink for you. You were a top dad and a loving husband, will miss you bro.
Evie:
“ I remember when I played Billy’s little guitar at Crissa and Billy’s house. He let me play his toys but I had to be careful. “I remember Billy and Crissa smiling at their wedding.” “ I remember watching the videos of Hannah and Billy being happy”.
To Hannah- “When you were a baby Hannah your dad was playing with you and you always will see your dad forever”
“And you played with him all the time and you loved him” “and you knowed him and you had a chance to see him”
Naomi:
I cant remember the first time I met Billy because it was so long ago. At first he was shy but it didn’t take long for him to join in on our family’s banter and become one of the sassy sisters. I was quick to nickname Billy ‘B-dog’ because he was with Crissa our ‘C-dog’. Billy made me feel like his little sister and would always give me shit and roll his eyes or shake his head at the stupid sayings and dumb things I would do.
I remember when I was pregnant with Evie for my 21st birthday. Billy and Lach surprised me because the girls couldn’t make it, i was so shocked and blessed to have them in my life.
Billy came to the hospital both times to meet his niece and nephew when they were born, he was so smitten, he had such a natural calm dad vibe and the cluckyness between C and Bill was obvious. Once Evie was born Billy was no longer called ‘B-dog’ he was known as ‘Uncle Bill’. He has watched Evie grow and would shake his head at her sassyness because he new that Hannah will inherit this but not only from her big cousin but from “sassy bill” and also maybe from me.
Billy’s wedding speech to C made everyone cry and I could feel the love he had for her was so bloody real. Evie recalls this day very well, her first time as a flower girl. She said to me “I remember Crissa and Billy’s wedding they were so in love and now his gone”. Bill you will always be in our hearts and you will always be the brightest star in the sky watching over C and Hannah.
We are so grateful you and C made beautiful Hannah, she definitely has your calm nature. Her cousins adore her and will always be their for her. We will share stories with Hannah and tell her how in love her mum and dad were (especially in public) and how she was the light of your life. Rest easy knowing that we will take care of C, Hannah and Kimmy.
We Will Miss You Billy
Love you always - The Cowleds xoxo

BILLY. We met you and Carissa when Lachi shared a house with you. The party house, wild nights and the memories made there are endless. These stories always bought a smile to our faces and they will be told over a beer or two I'm sure.
Our memories of you are of a cheeky, sassy, quiet, kind, loveable young man. Your love for Carissa and Hannah is immeasurable.
You had so much more to give, but what you gave to all who new you, was the love of life and great memories. Know that because of you, they will look after one another and will always be there for Carissa and Hannah.
The memory of you Billy will stay with us.
To Carissa, Hannah, families and mates, love, hug, be kind to one another, remember the good times, talk often and know Billy loved you all. Xxxxxxx
Love always Jamie and Michelle Keating xxxx

This picture is the time he talked me into going to a bns ball at Ariah park beardless.
When I think back all I can remember about Billy is how happy he always was, always making jokes and having a laugh.
The first time I met Billy would have been shortly after he left Wagga and was posted to Albatross and lived in the same dorm as me, as he walked past me going for a shower he dropped his towel the only thing he had on besides his thongs, I later seen him in the smokers pit where he jokingly reassured me that it wasn't on purpose.
I'll miss him.

My first memory of Carissa and Billy, is of course out the back of the Quinty pub after rugby. Billy might have been labelled as the ’big red headed guy’ but I could see the spark immediately. The whole night they couldn’t keep their eyes off each other and it became pretty obvious that he was going to be a keeper.
Fast forward to one of the best weddings and the most heartfelt vowels I’ve ever heard, i was so happy for Billy to become part of the family and Carissa to have her soul mate.
I’ll forever cherish our big family Christmas’, overly competitive beer pong games and his personality that bought out the best of everyone around him. I have no doubt Hannah will inherit all of your cheekiness.
Rest In Peace mate, you are so very missed. Xx

I met Bill through my husband Simon, who was one of Bill’s work mates from black team (the dream team) at 816 squadron. I remember hearing about him for the first time being referred to as “best friend Bill” - Some kind of inside joke between the two. In fact I think he was even saved in Simons phone like that.
Bill had been living a couple of streets away from Simon and scooting over to hang out with Simon at his house to keep him company some days while he and I lived apart.
I’ve heard so many stories about Bill, but the few that I can recall are “Sassy Bill” who makes an appearance when Bill has way too much to drink, “Brock face” Bills serious photo face, how Bill calls his gap teeth “the London look”, how Carissa and Bill can’t stop making out in front of their friends, even after so many years together. That time the case of beer went flying off Bills Ute tray on Kangaroo valley mountain and he and Simon had to scramble to get it off the road before a truck ran it (and then) over.
I personally saw a bit of a more serious side of Bill than the stories I heard through Simon though as I was honoured to photograph Bill and Carissas engagement session and wedding. While I saw a lot of cheek, I also got to see first hand how in love they were. The most lovey couple of any couple I’ve ever known.
When Hannah was born Bill told Simon that the experience of becoming a dad was “surreal” as they discussed that feeling that you get as a dad when you see your new baby for the first time.
I will always remember Bill shielding baby Hannah from the harsh sun with his hand at Cupitts winery. He and Carissa, so smitten with baby Hannah, and also for each other.
The world has lost a beautiful man, and I’m truly devastated for those closest to him, his mother Kimmy, who lost her darling son, his beautiful wife Carissa, to have lost the love of her life. And for sweet baby Hannah to grow up without knowing her adoring father.

As soon as I met Billy he was already a part of the family. He was a quiet guy who took a bit of convincing to come out of his shell around our loud family. But as soon as he did his quick wit and sass shone through. The love you and Carissa shared was evident even from that first meeting and I could tell that you two were soulmates as you were so alike. Sassy, a weapon on the piss but the most gentle and geuine person who was always there to have a chat or a laugh. You set Lachlan and I up which i will be forever grateful. When Lach and I started dating I would see Billy and Carissa most weekends. Weekly parties at Riveroak were hard to miss and there was always new faces to meet. Playing cards and drinking games or beer pong on the pool table are some of my favourite memories with you Bill. Ill never forget going to the Bns with you and will cherise the one we did together last year. You gave us Hannah and I hope that she inherits a few of your traits sassy Bill. You will be forever missed and I will make sure Hannah knows what a top bloke her dad was. Love you always Billy, rest easy.

Where to begin, I didn't get to really know Brock until after high school. Marisa brought us together as friends through one of the many gatherings over the years. He was genuine soul, a man full of light. He accepted me without question and made me feel like I belonged. I was blessed to know him.

Bill was special. I can not put into words how much the world has lost. I am lucky to have so many great memories of him that it's too hard to choose just one. I will always remember Bill riding his Razor scooter to my house to hang out, the dumb way we whispered 'best friend's' to each other then giggled like fools, the way he would wave both his hands while having a huge grin on his face at me across the hangar, his very serious 'Brock face' for photos, our footy trip to Wagga that he named 'The Josh Dugan Road show' and his crazy big head movement when he tried to step anyone on the footy field. Mostly I will miss just simply hanging out and talking. I am so glad I got to know Bill and wouldn't give up the memories for anything in the world. Rest in Peace buddy you're going to be missed more than you could have ever imagined.

There are so many amazing memories with Billy but one that will always stand out is the New Years Eve celebration with Carissa and our uni group. His warm and cheeky personality shone through that night and encapsulates the friendship I held dear. I could always expect some good natured teasing from Billy and a good conversation that always made me feel welcomed. You will be dearly missed.
