I first got to meet Mark when Steve and I were living in Canberra. Mark and I had a special relationship…we were both members of our own mutual admiration society. This came about as neither of us ‘cut the mustard’ to be part of the revered Flockton family. He was famous for saying, ‘now that you have come along they will give me a rest!’ (That’s the polite version.)
So since that time even though we may have not seen each other for long periods of time we always had that bond between us. We belonged to a special club.
Mark was always the joker and always had the knack to make me laugh. As I remember him he was a wonderful husband to Rhonda and father to Phillip and Christopher.
I know that he will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. Sending you all our love and deepest sympathies from over here. We can’t be there with you but we are here to give you all our support.
