I knew Vera from my place of work and it makes me so sad to hear of her passing...I always saw her as a woman of class and style. She was such a pleasure to talk to and was always so lovely. I would like to extend my deepest condolences to her family and friends as I'm sure this beautiful woman is deary missed. Vera - may you rest in peace lovely and be forever in the hearts of those lucky enough to have known you.

I met Vera and Emil through my husband Ron who had been in their wedding party.Vera and I shared some fun times together and with our families .We had not been in touch much in the last couple of years but she was always on my mind.I am sure you will be a lovely angel looking out over your family and friends xxx

In Memory of my loving wife Elvira Maria Suljic (Thuroczy) 10-6-1946 -13-4-2020
She was born on 10th June 1946 in Germany and was one of seven children;
Her mum was German and her father was Hungarian,
She migrated with her parents to Australia when she was 3 years old in 1949.
They initially settled in Dubo but a few years later moved to Dapto when she was about 11 years old.
She started work at an early age in family business (Cake Shop at Warrawong Shopping Centre).
She met her future husband Emil Suljic in 1964, on a blind date, and for me it was love at first sight.
After about 12 months we decided that we could not live without each other and we married on 31st July 1965.
Elvira (she hated that name) was best known as Vera to me,her family and all her friends.
Our first son Anthony John was born in 1966 but tragically died at age 13 years, due to cancer.
Our second son Christopher Emile was born in 1968.
Our third son Jonathan Michael was born in 1971.
We have endured many hardships and many many good times and Vera was always a loving wife and a loving mother to her children. She was the friendliest person you ever met,She would start a conversation with a perfect stranger and made friends in no time.
She really loved her working life. She was a qualified cake decorator. She attended Business College and qualified in business administration.She worked in various position as an office clerk and was loved by all her employers.
She was a most amazing and loving wife. Our 54 years of marriage never had a boring moment and had all the spice life can bring. She was also a loving grandmother to all 6 of her grandchildren.
She was my love and my soulmate and for me the void that she left will never be filled. Rest in peace my darling.
