col mate , you will be sadly missed by everyone , for me to tell the story between your family our family and of our adventurers would take a century, wow what a journey all of us have had , cousin Charley, the chicken night , our survival kit 6 tins of kb in our army coats in case we got lost chasing the dogs after the pigs , country music on driving the valiant for hours to where ever we would go , snakes in our sleeping bags putting the axe through the floor of the valiant so we did not have to stop to have a pee , camp fire yarns , rip col until we meet again along the track , and that time will come again, then we can start all over again , love you mate . ted

Dearest Pam, Leigh, Jenny and families,
We were so sad to hear of Col's passing - he fought a long hard battle that's for sure. I laughed when I read Jackie's memory of our Lightening Ridge trip - I remember that trip like it was yesterday and I remember that drive down the shaft exactly the same way that Jack did!
Craig and I send you all much love, hugs and kisses at this time, we are not able to attend Cols funeral as we are flying to Bali on Friday but we will be there with you in spirit.
With much love always,
Shelley and Craig xoxoxo

How could i not forget the memory of our family trip to Lightening Ridge when Col let us kids drive the old Valiant ....... straight into an open opal mine shaft!!! Loved that Col was so easy going like that!! No problem he said as he jumped back into the drivers seat and like a precision driver backed the old Val out of the hole without further issue! Problem solved!

Hi Pam, Leigh and Jen (and families),
Just wanted to say how sorry I am to hear of Col's passing. We all had such fun family experiences when we were growing up and so much laughter when we were all together. Those times will never be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
