Our family are forever indebted to Arnie who befriended my Dad, Tom Guthrie, in early 2009 in Clelland Lodge, in the last few weeks of his life. They had daily long and interesting conversations about life, Africa, God, death, family and love. My Dad would wait in anticipation for Arnie, and attended church services of several denominations with him! Arnie had a unique way of making people feel connected, respected and valued. His support of my Dad - a larger than life man - who felt diminished by his circumstances - was a precious gift. Thank you for your support of our family. Arnie held me in his arms after my Dad died on 6th April 2009 and he comforted me with his strength, his compassion and his big heart. Thank you for your presence and your contribution to the world. Rest In Peace. Blessings on your family, I am so sorry for your loss. He was a great human being.
