Sorry to hear this sad news. I've known and worked with Dave since he first started at TAFE - he was a pioneer and advocate for staff and students with physical disabilities and always added to meetings with his infectious sense of humour. My condolences to the family and his friends at this sad time.

David was the most unique soul that any person was fortunate to meet. He opened his heart and his home to an extraordinary array of people and could develop a humorous and creative rapport with almost anyone. The more serendipitous the circumstance the more valuable his input would be. So often the recipient of his wisdom would have to acknowledge his insights as the penny dropped at a later date. There are little messages for everyone in every cartoon he wrote or song he improvised. The family name just proved that the King and the Jester are one and the same.

Dave was a wonderful, humourous, kind hearted, resilient and intelligent man who I counted as one of my best friends. His loss will leave a massive hole in my life and heart. David was a true king - a pioneer in physical disability access in adult vocational education. Much missed for his positiveness, his cheeky side, and willingness to work in a team while still being an advocate and a role model for people with severe physical disabilities. All hail the King!

Only worked with Dave for a short time but what a huge impact he has made. From an instant I was a fan of not only of his knowledge with technology & working with people with disabilities but his humour. I will miss the light through laughter he brought to our Teams meetings.

Sending heartfelt condolences to all the family and friends of David. He was loved by many. My fondest memory of David as the first tech guru I met at Ultimo. He installed a voice on my laptop. When I opened it it said "I love you" and when closing Arnie said. "I'll be back" ....He was such a a rascal. Such a beautiful kind and warm hearted man. Gone too soon.xxxRIP
