Dorothy Dixon was my husband's aunt. I have lots of memories of her visiting her sister, Betty's when we were also visiting. I remember one time when our girls were young and Auntie Dot must have been about 80. We had some bubble blowing equipment to entertain Kate and Emma. Auntie Dot spent the afternoon with them, blowing bubbles. She had a wonderful afternoon of fun and laughter. She said that she had never blown bubbles before. Auntie Dot always found joy, even doing the simplest of things.
I also remember taking her to the beach with Betty, John and Stephen. We had bought some Magnum ice-creams. She had said that was the first time she had had a Magnum ice-cream. She had commented about how delicious she thought it was and how much she enjoyed it.
Rest in Peace Auntie Dot. We have so many fond memories of the time we spent with you. Love always, Delys, Stephen, Kate and Emma. XXXX
