I am thankful for the privilege of working with Phil and being in prayer groups with him. His humility and kindness were characteristics that made his presence and company a joy to work alongside. Plastered on his wall I remember reading "God is good, God is gracious, God is great and God is glorious!". A dear brother that loved the Lord.
My thoughts and prayers are with close family and friends.

My sincerest condolences to Angela and family for your sudden loss of Phil. He was a loyal, committed and Godly member of staff at Tyndale Christian School during his entire length of service. I loved his professionalism (at all times) and his warm and engaging spirit in how he dealt with new families and children..and colleagues! May God comfort you all during this difficult time.

Thinking of you all today and wishing we could be there with you today as we say goodbye to Phillip. I have many wonderful memories of growing up together as cousins, all the wonderful family Birthday’s, Christmas & NewYear’s Eve parties. Phillip was there for for us when we lost my beautiful sister Tracy and he was my first choice for doing the funeral service as it was so much more personal. We will miss him very much. Always in my thoughts and prayers
Sending love to you all Leah, David & family xxx

Phil and Angie I got to know in Cabramatta C3.
One of the things I remember about Phil, was his perspective on situations. He had a different approach to others, and his way worked for him.
The other things I recall, were his big grin, and his jokes. He will be greatly missed.
My thoughts and prayers are with you Angie and your family.

It feels like I have known Phil and Ange forever, they have always been a part of my life in some way over a 25 year period that has been the greatest privilege. Phil has always been the calm balance for all the fiery saints. Pastor Phil, Phil was wise beyond his years and besides Jesus you would not meet a more loving, caring, wise, honest, reliable, respected, loved human being. I know that there's not enough words to describe who Phillip was and the impact that he had on so many people. I like so many are trying to come to terms with such a sudden loss of such a great man! My heart and prayers are with Angie, Joshua and Jeanette. He will be forever missed in this world but so grateful that we will get to see him again in the kingdom of God and at least I won't need to seek Pastor Phil out for wise counsel! Loved you like the dear brother in Christ that you were, I was truly blessed knowing you and so was my family. Thank you Phil for everything and the difference you made in my life ❤❤❤❤❤

I had the pleasure of knowing Phil through Tyndale. He was always willing to help and so kind. My son was one of the year 11 students Phil went to Thailand with, Tom was very thankful for the time they shared overseas. We were shocked to hear of Phil’s death and send his family our love and prayers. Thank you for sharing Phil with us, we can only imagine the hole his passing leaves.

Although I only had the pleasure of working with Phil for a short time, I was so encouraged by his gentle and kind spirit. I'm praying for his family, as such a loss must be so very hard. I thank God too, that Phil's eternity is secure in Christ and that he rests now in the arms of Jesus.
With sincere condolences,
Gemma Bartlett

With love to all the family.
A real gentleman usually the most quiet and smartest in the room. Such a great loss way too soon.

Both Phil and Angie were great friends and key members of our leadership team at C3 Church Cabramatta. Phil had a gentle spirit, a wise mind and a pastoral heart. I also had the privilege of working with Phil at Tyndale Christian School. Our lives were certainly richer because Phil Westlake was part of it. We share our deepest sympathy with Angie, Josh and their extended familes. Love Brian and Rosalie Schick
