Our condolences to the Hitchen family ,Ray’s memorial service was absolutely wonderful and heart warming .Memories of ray & jan and all the beautiful times they shared together and the wonderful life Ray had and shared with his beautiful family was really heart warming specially with his children, grandchildren & great grandchildren may he Rest In Peace, and all your hearts filled with peace and love from all the beautiful memories you have with Ray .we wish you all love and peace from the chamoun. My mum and dad formed a friendship with Ray and Janet that lasted a life time growing up in Bolt street before moving into Nowra In 1960 Ray would never walk past without stopping for a chat will be mist by all R I P mate

When we moved down to the heads back in the late 60’s Mr and Mrs Hitchens made as welcome. I was a little scared of Mr Hitchens for a short period of time until one he said to me “I won’t bite, I am not that bad” Well guess what !! you turned out to be a very generous, caring, a character with a sense of humour loving man. We had some good times. When I got older my Husband Mark had the opportunity to work with you at the mill and shared some great memories. You will be sadly missed, but you are now in your happy place with your beautiful wife. The girls and Peter will be taken care of as they have you both looking down on them. Say hi to my dad for me, I can imagine the trouble you both will get up to. You always haven and always will be Mr Hitchens my neighbour. Finally your going to Rest in pease Mr Hitchens Love always Vicki and Mark Hillier née Taylor.

I have known and loved Ray virtually all my life. Had some of the funniest moments of my life with Ray, especially during our time at the paper mill. He was always someone you could rely on and his family always felt like part of my extended family
