When we moved down to the heads back in the late 60’s Mr and Mrs Hitchens made as welcome. I was a little scared of Mr Hitchens for a short period of time until one he said to me “I won’t bite, I am not that bad” Well guess what !! you turned out to be a very generous, caring, a character with a sense of humour loving man. We had some good times. When I got older my Husband Mark had the opportunity to work with you at the mill and shared some great memories. You will be sadly missed, but you are now in your happy place with your beautiful wife. The girls and Peter will be taken care of as they have you both looking down on them. Say hi to my dad for me, I can imagine the trouble you both will get up to. You always haven and always will be Mr Hitchens my neighbour.
Finally your going to Rest in pease Mr Hitchens
Love always Vicki and Mark Hillier née Taylor.
